These classes will introduce you to the basics of ashtanga vinyasa yoga and are suitable for people who are new to or have limited experience of yoga. 

 

The emphasis is on creating a secure foundation, understanding the structure of the beginning postures and being in them in a functional way. If you’re looking for detailed teaching with lots of individual attention, this is for you. You will be taught within the Mysore room so that as your practice progresses, you can transition seamlessly to the general group.

Saturday: 9.30–10.30am, Greenwich (St Mark’s)

Sunday: 9–10am, Woolwich (The Yoga Space)

The Yoga Space, Gunnery House, Gunnery Terrace, Cornwallis Rd, Royal Arsenal. SE18 6SW (10 minutes Woolwich Arsenal DLR / overground). Please read the directions for accessing the yoga room before coming along to Woolwich Mysore.

Both spaces are wheelchair accessible, and have mats and props available to borrow. There is storage for your own mat at Greenwich. Sorry no showers at either venue, but both have a large toilet area where you can wash.

Cost

To decide which rate is appropriate for you, please read the fee policy.

One class: £14 / £12 low income / £7 financial hardship.

Six-class block-booking card: £72 / £60 low income / £36 financial hardship.

Twelve-class block-booking card: £132 / £108 low income / £60 financial hardship.

 

Block-booking cards are valid for eight weeks and can be used at any Mysore class interchangeably (week-day or Saturday, Greenwich or Woolwich). You can use your card as many times in a single week as you like. Cards cannot be used beyond the expiry date, and unused classes cannot be refunded. However, for the cost of one drop-in class, you can extend an expired card for a further eight weeks
