All are welcome to this friendly community dance practice. There is a little facilitation and lots of time just to dance. More about Greenwich Moves is here.

Place: Greenwich West Community and Arts Centre (main hall), 141 Greenwich High Road, London SE10 8JA.

As ever with Saturday travel, check TfL / South Eastern trains before you set out.

Fourth Saturday of every month: The Open Floor Meditation Cycle
The Meditation Cycle is a structure for embodied sitting, walking and dancing, offering you the opportunity to move in different ways and to sit quietly and reflectively. People often find that their dance is deepened by the periods of attentive stillness. Sitting can be on the floor or in a chair. You are encouraged to sit fluidly, allowing shifts and mirco-movements. The cycle has a ceremonial feeling, but what happens within it may be wild, anarchic and unrestrained. As usual, you are invited to come as yourself and be in whatever way you need to be. No booking necessary – just come along.

“I loved the meditation cycle. The structure, so gently held by Jess, for me revealed profound detail in sitting, walking and dancing, and in my response to silence, music and sound. It also brought about a very tender dynamic between an inner focus and a more outward focus incorporating the whole group. When we danced together at the end, we were all so attuned, it was incredibly powerful, moving and beautiful. So LOVELY!”—Nina
